Ok call me a traditionalist but I prefer my folders on top, the individual
files/programs listed below them.

So when I go into Start > All Programs >
I would like to see my folders listed in Alpha Sort order with the letter
"A" at the TOP of the list and then running down in order.

Please, oh Please help me get my upside down folders right side up!!!!

Thank you!

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?

Actually that is what Im referring to.....that is upside down. Folders should
be at the top, then files/programs at the bottom.

I agree with you. If you open Explorer and go to any folder where you have
sub-folders and files - the sub-folders are always at the top.

It has been this way for many years. To see it backwards in the start menu
is disconcerting, at the least, for many users.

Honestly I'd not even noticed it till now. And now that I do notice,
it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

In fact, I think it's easier to find the individual shortcuts grouped
a the top, rather than having to scroll down to the bottom to get to
them.

As the saying goes," different strokes for different folks".

Frankly, I've got a number of peeves with Vista, but this isn't one of
them. :-)

Sheesh! All you have to do is right click on an empty spot in the folders
window then select Sort By. Choose Folder Path then either Ascending or
Descending depending if you want the sub-folders at the top or at the
bottom. -William
