At the moment my Corsair psu is fitted in a case with the fan pointing down as in your everyday pc case. Will I cause any damage to the psu if I reverse this and have the fan facing upwards?

If you reverse it, how much space will there be betweeen the top of the PSU and the case..? Will there be enough space for the PSU fan to exhaust its self..? In other words not blow onto the casing then the hot air back into the PSU, if you get what i'm saying..?

It is not going into a normal case. It is the intake fan that I am asking about. The psu will be mounted with the exhaust and switches pretty much as a standard case. I just want to mount the psu upside down so that it is drawing air from above rather than from below. There will be about a three inch gap above it, that should be enough I recon.

:)

It will not matter squat where, how, or in what direction you 'mount' your PSU ... just don't let anyone see you. ;)

If it gets too warm you can always try throw a glass of water over it ;)

Hmmm maybe I shouldnt have said that.
