UPS Service Removed

In getting ready for upgrading one of my 2000 Servers to
2003 I'm removing 3rd party software to limit the chance
that I'll have a problem. One of the items was Power Chute
by APC. After removing the software & rebooting the server
the UPS Service seems to have taken a vacation.

Is there a way to re-register the service without using a
utility like "srvany". I'm not sure if SFC will check for
missing services, I think it just checks for missing &
modified system files.

I checked in the system32 folder and ups.exe is still
there, I think the Power Chute uninstaller just un-
registered this service.

Non-destructive ideas????

You may just be missing the UPS registry service subkey. I'm guessing that
the upgrade would recreate it. If you're planning on reinstalling PowerChute
then does it matter?

Thanks.

I restored the registry key:

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\UPS

from another Windows 2000 Server, then rebooted the
machine. All is fine now.
