I want to remove my AIW RADEON 7500 and in its place I want to install a
9000 Pro on P4 WinXP Pro. Do I need to run any regclean app or just
uninstall old and install new or will it be an upgrade where the SW stays
installed.
TIA

It should be plug and play with reboot. If there is video encoding SW loaded
at startup with AIW card it would not hurt to do uninstall in control panel.
Many people claim that you should do complete uninstall before every driver
update but I never have and it always worked. YMMV. The rage3d.com forums
have an entire thread on this subject.

I decided to uninstall the old SW but the viodeo driver would not allow
uninstall. I have new card and SW installed buit have no TV. All I get is a
message about checking device manager for propper dirver installation. This
is someething I have no idea how to do or where to go from here.

Just remove old card and put in new. If it asks for location of drivers,
point to C:\ATI\Support\.....(latest driver).

Going from a 7500 to a 9000 is not a big jump IMHO. AIW 9600Pro (when it
comes out) should be what you need.

DriverCleaner 2.0 does a nice job of cleaning old drivers from
the system. What I do first is:

1. Change display driver to Standard VGA Driver
2. Reboot when asked
3. Run Driver Cleaner, and remove all ATI, or Nvidia drivers
4 . Reboot just to make sure
5 . Install drivers
6. Reboot when asked
7. Install Control Panel
