Hi everyone,

I wonder if someone could advise me on a problem I have.

I have a home network with computers in four rooms. Everything works just
fine except for the scanner which is attached via sereial port to one of the
machines and it can't be accessed from the other machines.

Is there any way I can make the scanner available to the other computers on
the network, expecially the sysadmin machine?

I am using XP fully updated.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Cheers,

Serial port?! I've seen older scanners connected to a SCSI port or to a
parallel port, but not to a serial port. In any case, a scanner
connected to any of those ports has to be elderly and will not be
networkable.
