Uploading video with FP 2000

Good day, I am trying to upload a video to my website. I have FP 2000 and
Windows XP. I can view it in my preview area but it will not upload to the
website. How can I correct this? All I get is a white box with a red x.

Jenny,

It sounds as if you are trying to embed the video into a web page.

Try this:

1- Open your FrontPage Web and import your video into your web (specific
folder if needed).

2- Now on any page create a hyperlink to the video (Click here to view video).

3- Go to file > Preview in Browser and does the video play when you click
the link? If so upload it to the remote server and then check it again.

How do you import it and make a link versus embended it?

1- Open your FrontPage Web

2- Go to File > Import > Locate your video file > OK

3- You should now see your video file with your other web folders
NOTE: Once the file is in your web you can drag it to a specific folder if
you wish

4- Open the page where you want to link to the video, for example if you
want a link on your home page, you would open it and type the text "Click
Here to see my video" (Or any text you wish.

5- Select the text ( Highlight it ) > Right Click > Select Hyperlink
Properties > Locate your Video File > OK

6- Go to File > Preview in Browser > Clcick the hyperlink

Your video should play with the player you have associated with that
particular video format ( mpeg, .wmv, .mov, .asf, etc..)

If everything plays fine publish to the web.
