I have been asked to do a site for a friend. He was given very cheap server
space from a relative. His server is an Apache based server that does not
support FP extensions. Would it be possible to use WinSCP or something
similar to get the content uploaded? I have used FP in the past and am
already familiar with FP extensions and their ease of use (usuually). Any
info or help would be cool. Thanks.

Just use any FTP program to upload the content since the server doesn't
support the FrontPage Extensions. Try WS_FTP

Thanks David, I will give it a try and let you know if it worked, the server
admin told me that I could only use WinSCP. I had to create public and
private key. If WS_FTP supports that I will be fine. I will let you know,
thanks for the info

You can use Fp to publish using the FTP mode - or any other FTP program like
CuteFTP.
