Can I save a PowerPoint presentation as a .pps and upload
it directly to a website to be accessessed by users?
Yes, but
- only people who have PowerPoint or the viewer will be able to play it
- that lets out anyone who doesn't use Mac or PC
- it may open differently for some users than others, depending on their
browser settings.
- the whole pps has to download before it starts to play, so if it's a big
file, it may appear to users that nothing's happening
- links to sounds/movies won't work
Will this work as well as saving it as a .htm and
uploading it?
It'll depend on what your goals are and on the contents of your presentation.
Try it both ways and see which works best for you.
