Is there some software that can put some pictures onto my memory card? I
use Cam2PC to get them but want to pop some older ones back on to take
them to be developed (I'm not sure if the lab can do it from CD so it is
better to be prepared).

TIA,
R.

Hi:

I think you may need to buy a Card Reader for your camera memory card type.
there are manyt different shapes/types of flash memory cards.

Once you buy the card reader you can use the memory card to transfer back
adn forth data.

Good Luck

I have transferred pics (in jpg) to CD-RW and had prints made - two
shops in our small town shopping centre do it so I am sure you will
find some place where you are.

phone them and ask if you can bring the data in on floppy, CD or memory key.
most can. alternatively you might be able to email the data or they may
have an FTP server you could upload the pics to.

good luck

Put your card into a USB card reader, if you haven't got one they are
really quite cheap, and then just treat the card as a normal disk drive
as far as reading. copying, deleting etc.

Essentially, all three viable solutions have been proposed here:

1. Almost any commercial outfit capable of printing from digital media can
print from CD or memory card. (Cheap too - 25 cents a print from Wal Mart. I
think that's cheaper than my colour printer.)

2. The camera software that lets you download from the camera to your puter
almost always lets you do it in reverse too. Typically, the camera shows up
in Explorer as some sort of removeable drive.

3. I have a device called a Multimedia Viewer. It lets me load files of any
sort, including images, to / from any memory card to / from my puter. I can
also plug it into my TV to view movies and images. It's about the size of a
deckof cards and cost me $100 Cdn at a local electronics store but I have
seen cheaper versions.

Open my computer and you will find your camera listed as a removeable
drive.
You can then download and upload without having to use the camera's
software. I do it all th\e time with my Olympus. You can store any kind of
file, not just pics on the card.
