Upload problem with subsites

I have a deluxe account with GoDaddy that has a number of subsites that have
worked fine for over a year. FrontPage extensions are installed and I've used
them to upload the subsites with no hitch.

This week, one of the forms on one of the subsites started giving an error
message. I figured the extensions had gotten broken since they'd moved it's
server location recently. So I reinstalled the extensions. Once that was
done, I went to re-upload the site using the same procedure and settings as
ever. Now it does not recognize my password.

The root website recognizes the password and I can see that the folders are
there and can see the files of the subwebsites. However when I try to upload,
it asks for username and password and then comes back with the password area
blank--over and over again.

Godaddy had me change the password. That didn't help. I've now discovered I
can't upload to any of the subsites--same problem with all of them--though I
have been able to upload to the root directly site.

Godaddy has checked the extensions and hosting information etc. and says
nothing is wrong and it must be a FrontPage problem. I have little faith in
that, however I'm not a FrontPage expert by any means.

Could something have happened in some settings I don't know about?

I know it's not FrontPage in general because I have another deluxe Godaddy
site that I'm the webmaster for and I checked it and I can get into the
subsites for it with no problem.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Godaddy's support for FrontPage extensions is not good.

First clear the temporary and web cache files from your PC - the FP
Cleaner from http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm will do this
for you. There is a very remote chance that a corrupted web cache file
is causing the problem.

Then ask Godaddy to run a server health check. If that fails to help,
remove the extensions, reinstall and recreate the sub webs. Make sure
you have a back up of the entire site first. (such as the local site on
your PC)

Thanks. It wasn't my temp or web caches files.
After talking with GoDaddy 4 times I wasn't interested in doing it again so
I skipped to the chase.

I simply deleted all the pages in all the websites (except the Index.htm),
deleted the folders that held the subsites. Uninstalled FrontPage Extensions.
Deleted a few more folders that popped up that I had already deleted but
appeared in interesting places... Reinstalled FrontPage Extensions. And
uploaded the sites again. Presto, it all works again.

Thanks again for your help.

I actually also have a Deluxe account at GoDaddy and I have several sites on
that same hosting server. I have never been able to publish to the alias
sites via frontpage extentions (http), the only way I can get it to work is
via ftp. I can only publish via HTTP to the main (root) website.

Are you able to publish to your alias sites via HTTP?
