Do you want to display the PowerPoint presentation on your web site, so
people can click through the slides? That's the original method, and you can
do that by choosing File>Save as Web Page. However, there are some problems
with this -- mainly that your presentation may not appear properly,
especially in Firefox and other non-Internet Explorer browsers. A lot depends
on whether you have animation in the presentation.
If you just post the presentation itself, people with PowerPoint will be
able to open it in PowerPoint. Basically, they'll be downloading the
presentation.
Sometimes the best solution is just a series of HTML pages, each showing a
slide, with a button to move to the next HTML page. You can save your
presentation's slides to JPG files by choosing File>Save As and choose JPEG
from the Save as Type drop-down list.
Another good solution is to save your presentation as an SWF file. For an
excellent list of software to do this, go to

a free option for basic use. I found that it even captured animation well. Go
