I have office 2000 installed on my computer, but have
Word 2003 installed as well. I'm getting a message to
update Word in Outlook to the same version as installed
in my pc. How do I do that?

I really recommend against running multiple versions of Office unless it's absolutely necessary. It's always been problemstic. More info: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;828956&Product=off2003

In this instance, it sounds like Wordmail is not functioning because it is incorrectly detecting the older version of Word. Turning off using Word as your e-mail editor and/or using Word to view RTF messages should do the trick. These checkboxes are found in Outlook under Tools menu > Options > Mail Format tab.

If you like using Word as your e-mail editor, I recommend uninstalling Office 2000, or at the very least Word 2000 then re re-enabling Wordmail.

You can only use Word as an E-mail editor when it is the same verion as
Outlook. So either get yourself a copy of Outlook 2003 or stick to Word
2000.
