upgrading Windows to use iTunes

I am licensed to have Windows ME. Someone gave me an
unlicensed version of Windows XP Professional. I need the
Service Pack 1 update from Microsoft to run iTunes which
means I NEED to puchase software so I am licensed.

Can I buy either Windows XP Pro or Home Upgrade package
and do the upgrade even though I already am running
Windows XP? Upgrade pkg is cheaper.

As long as you own a full version disc of WinMe, then you can use the upgrade
version. If not, you need to get the full version.
