Please help. I have made sure that i have sp1, gone to system tools, device manager but when i click on usb i do not get usb 2.0 ehci host controller displayed, just my original and so am confused as to how to update!

Does your motherboard support USB 2.0? Its not just a software upgrade. If your motherboard doesn't support it, you'll have to add in a USB 2.0 card.

BTW... adding a USB2.0 card is easy. They cost about $20-$40, depending on
the card.

I did it with one of my older machines....took about 10 minutes, loaded like
a charm, worked like a charm too. I think I paid $29.... it had 4 ports ont
it.

If your mother board does not support USB2, it is NO PROBLEM. No need to
panic.

I am also experiencing this same problem now I moved a hard drive from a USB 1.1 only machine into a USB 2.0 machine. mobo definately supports usb 2.0 but I cannot get the EHCI stuff to be identified - and my external Iomega CDRW will only record at 4x which I am told is due to my usb2.0 not being driven correctly.
