I have been using PowerPoint 2000. My computer crashed
recently and I need to completely rebuild it. Before I
reinstall, I plan to purchase the upgrade to PowerPoint
2003. My question is, do I need to physically reinstall
PowerPoint 2000 before I upgrade to PP 2003? Or does the
PP 2003 upgrade box contain a CD that I use to install it?
How does the PP 2003 CD know that you had a previous PP
install?

I'm pretty sure that all you have to do is insert the 2000 CD when 2003 is
looking for upgrades.

That's my understanding also

Having just done a clean install with MS Office 2003, I can assure that
that's exactly how it works.
