upgrading to 2000

I am upgrading a nt4 domain to 2k, the pdc went fine but
the bdc can't contact the domain controler. The domain
spans to ip segments it one network 192.168.10.0 and
second 192.168.11.0. How can I make the bdc in 11.0 see
the active directory pdc in 10.0

On the old BDC (now a DC) you should set the IP address of the primary DNS
to be the IP address of the first DC (old PDC).
 
I did, still no good :(

I just added dns and tried to set up a zone, but I must
confess I don't know how to set it properly. Obviously my
dns is not configured correctly. How can I patch this so
it will run until I get the dns fixed. I am in 2
different cities and this is the mail domain, no logins
are accepted currently on the bdc
