Michael

I have Windows 2000 professional installed on a PC,
instead of outlook 2000, the pc still has outlook express.
How can I install outlook 2000 and get rid of outlook
express?

Many thanks
Michael

Outlook is a completely separate email client and data management program
and is not, nor has it ever been a part of any Microsoft operating system
(vis-a-vis Windows 2000). Outlook Express is an integral part of Internet
Explorer, and that's why it's included with Windows. Since Outlook 2000 is
about two generations behind the curve, being subsummed by Outlook XP and
the soon to be released Outlook 2003, probably the only place you'll be able
to find it is on Ebay etc, buycheapsoftware.com, etc. Be advised that
Outlook is not inherently a newsgroup reader even though it has a menu pick
to read newsgroups; it will bring up Outlook Express if you pick that
option.
