How is it done? OS is on a WD Raptor 74GB, I want to move the OS and
programs to a 150GB Raptor. The old and new drives can both be connected
during the process.
I don't have Ghost, anything else, would like to try from just within/using
Vista.

Actually you don't do this from within any operating system. Your new
hard drive will come with a utility to clone the old drive to the new
one. Just follow the instructions. If you didn't buy the new drive
retail, you can download the utility from Western Digital's website. It
is free.

I thought about that, but I used that utility a couple years ago and I
couldn't boot from the new drive. I don't know if the utility has improved
or not....

If you couldn't boot, you didn't something wrong. Read the instructions
carefully. This method works well.
