upgrading memory

hi, i want to upgrade my pc using memory cards from my old pc, would this cause any issues with my new pc?
or should i only use new cards??

Only if they are the same type.

What is the 'old' pc and what is the new one?
 
amd athlon

sorry the old board is amd athlon and the new one is a celeron, are these compatible??

pikakilla ... it wont matter if one is AMD based and the other Intel, they could still use the same DDR. ;) Although we are probably looking at a no win here.
 
ok

my new board is a intel celeron 2.40ghz with 224 ram
my old pc was a amd athlon 750, with 128ram
 
upgrade

as i said i'm a pc beginner, so need lots of guidance, and i dont fancy breaking my pc...
