upgrading hard drive

I am running windows XP Pro. on my laptop and currently
have a 30 gb hard drive and want to upgrade it to a 60 gb
hard drive. Will this cause me any problems with
activation of the system and if so what do I need to do to
solve the problem.

Hello

To answer your question no, but what you do is go out and
purcahse Norton's Ghost and clone your drive or just ghost
it to tthe new drive. Always a good idea to backup your DATA
ok. Just in case you have to re-activiate

If there is a way for
Microsoft to know that I am not a "Pirate" and that I'm
legitimate and only want to upgrade mive drive to a larger
drive I would like to do this.

They pretty much accept people's word for this. If your
installation/registration fails, call them.
