I have small network with 4 computers in a workgroup (Windows 2003 server
and 3 XP).
I would like to upgrade to a domain but I don't want the users to lose their
local settings. Is it possible ?
Can they still be logged to their local computer and still be able to
consume the domain shared folders and the exchange server I would like to
install on it ?

Thanks for your time

You can copy the profile info to the new profile, if you wish. I would then
get rid of the local computer accounts - it sorta defeats the purpose of a
domain model.

Thanks for the quick answer.
How can I copy the local computer profile to the new domain profile without
losing personal settings (like desktop, outlook accounts, favorites...).

"Lanwench [MVP - Exchange]"

Control panel, system, user profiles. Copy there.
