upgrading from windows 98 to windows xp

This is a group specifically for programmers, you will get better help in:

For what it's worth I would not under any circumstances upgrade from W98
to XP, you will get a much cleaner, more stable system if you do a clean
install. You can still buy an upgrade CD, it will ask to see your W98 CD
before it will install.
