First, the assumptions.
1. I have a laptop (computer 1) running Outlook 2002 with only one Personal
Folder (oldoutlook.pst), which works swell.
2. I have a great detail of saved information in the following folders:
Calendar, Contacts, Drafts, Inbox (with subfolders), Sent Items, and Tasks.
3. I've just installed Outlook 2003 SP2 with Business Contact Manager Update
SP1 on a new desktop (computer 2).
4. I want to move all of my saved information from Outlook 2002 stored in
the Personal Folder (oldoutlook.pst) to an Outlook 2003 personal folder.
5. I'm bright enough to know how to find the location of my oldoutlook.pst
file, copy it to CD, then to my new desktop (computer 2) in the appropriate
location.
6. When I'm done, I only want one Outlook 2003 personal folder with all of
my saved information listed in number 2, above.
Now here is my question. What is the best, most full proof way to migrate
all of the saved data?
Thanks a bunch!
