Upgrading from Home XP to Office XP

Your question is wrong.
Perhaps you mean you want to install office on windows XP home edition.

If this is the situation you donthave to worry... but if you have important
work on the pc you should have it backed up anyway.
Always have backups of important files because a pc can break down.

You're talking apples and oranges here. XP Home is an operating system.
Office XP is a suite of productivity tools including Outlook (for email),
Word (for word processing), etc. Suggesting you go to microsoft.com and do
a little research.

You are confusing two different products. Home is a version of Windows
XP, the latest Windows operating system. Office XP is the latest
version of the Office application suite to run on windows (including on
Windows XP Home). So you buy a copy of Office and run its CD to set it
up
