upgrading DC from 2000 to 2003

First I ran adprep /forestprep

It gives me it was unable to update

Failed to transfer the schema FSMO role 52: unavailable





I am running one DC Windows 2000 Server SP4

Are you only using your internal DNS (no ISPs)? If so, that can cause this
among other errors.

Also, is your AD DNS domain name a single label name? Eg. "DOMAIN" rather
than the required "domain.com".

You are not either a Schema Admin or an Enterprise Admin or both.

Add yourself to those groups, then try again. If you still get errors,
please post the EXACT error message(s)
