I'm thinking about buying bare bones computer.I woul like
to know if I can use current hard drive in new computer?
I would be happy if this is possible.Does any one know if
this will work? Thank you Dean

Yes, but to get the chipset to correctly identify and reset all the hardware
changes, you will have to perform a Repair Installation as in:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];315341
How to Perform an In-Place Upgrade (Reinstallation) of Windows XP

With the Blaster worm still in existence, but the two Critical Updates to a
CD FIRST... then after the Repair Installation, IMMEDIATELY run the two
patches BEFORE connecting to the internet to re-download and install SP1.

I recently upgraded my hard disk to a larger one and tried to ghost the old
drive to the new one. Having trouble booting to the "new" drive.
I understand with XP there is some tweaking one must do to get this to work
correctly. Any hints/tips?
