Upgrading Bios

I have run a Bios Capabilities Test Report which shows
that my Bios doesn't support "LS-120 Booting" or "Zip
Booting". Also the test reveals "known super I/O chip is
not found."

Is this important and does it mean my Bios need upgrading?

Unless you need to do this stuff and your PC is running fine I would just
leave it as is.

Don't worry, you'll will never need LS120 or a zip to
boot your OS. Chances are, updating the BIOS you still
will not have support for the devices.

Thank you for your reply.

Everything is running fine except that when I try and
bring the computer out of standby it automatically
reboots. In the event viewer an error is being logged
about "...writing to an illegal port address" and
suggests the Bios may need upgrading. I therefore
wondered if maybe I have a problem with ACPI which
ugrading the Bios might somehow solve?

What do you think, and is it too risky?

Brian
