HI, I need help!!!! I am upgrading my Packard Bell (Motherboard 680)
to a stronger Processor. After I replaced the Processor, what do I
change in the set-up page (BIOS)? Do I just change the values set-up
from 120 mhz to the new mhz? Is that all I have to do? Will the system
recognized the new microprocessor automatically?
I can't seem to find out any info online either.
Anyone have any free time to email me and guide me thru this I would
really appreciate it. I am trying to upgrade this computer for my Nephew
..

Thanks ck

First you need to find out if the motherboard can handle the new mhz. Do you
have the manual? If it will, then you will probably need to adjust some
jumpers on the board to change the multiplier.

You will need to move jumpers on the motherboard, to set the new processor
speed. Jumper settings for the PB680 motherboard are shown here:
http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/pb/mb/680.htm

The PB680 is an OEM version of the Intel NV430VX motherboard. The NV430VX
specification document and specification document update can be found here:
