*Using* the various versions is not really all that different other than the
newer ones being a bit slower. It is developing where you will see the biggest
differences. I have all four versions from 97 through 2003 on my machine and I
still develop exclusively in Access 97. It is smaller, faster and less prone to
corruptions.

You need to read the various "What's New" articles on Microsoft's web site for
each of the newer versions and see if any of those new features are compelling
to you.

Most developers have the newer versions to support their users that have them.
Do you develop for yourself or for others? If the latter are your users
pressing for the upgrade or is it your idea? The PC environment is one where
software upgrades are inevitable so I'm not saying you should make a career out
of opposing them, but I wouldn't recommend being the cheerleader in this case
either as your users might see little that they feel is positive and change is
*always* bad from the user's perspective unless you can deliver something really
eye-popping.
