upgradeing from me to xp pro

when i try and uprade me to xppro i get to the fializing
installation, down to about 21 mins till installation
completion,it just seems to stop itried retry by pressing
the off button and it restarts the installation but doesnt
seem to go no further than mention'd can someone help

Dougie, you may have hardware devices that are not compatabile with
WinXP. Did you do a preinstall Hardware and
Software compatability check? Check here.

Have you turned your antivirus software off ??
I had the same problem, but disabling F-Secure got he
thing going OK
