I loaded the only copy of XP that I have and it was pre SP1. I do not
have Internet connectivity so I downloaded SP1 on another computer
(running XP SP2) and burned it onto a CD and when I try and load it
into the computer to load it up.

Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Why did you download SP1?

Go straight to SP2. Then you'll need the 90+ post-SP2 updates...

Oh - and copy the file to the machine so it can expand as needed before
running it, etc.

As per other replies - yes, you should go straight for SP2. But what exactly
is your problem? What do you need help on? You seem to be managing okay so
far - no web access so you downloaded it elsewhere and burned it to CD...
then what?
