Windows XP Upgrade XP Pro to SP1 (not SP2)

Hey,

i have WIndows XP (Pro with no SP) frelshly installed on my pc, and i ont want SP2, i want SP1. i need SP1 before i can use High Speed USB2.0

How can i upgrate o SP1, without installing SP2?

Its not possible to download SP1 only from Microsoft now, it stopped quite recently. You may be able to find it from a third party site, but I'd suggest going for SP2!

ok, ok i will SP2 just has its bugs, and i can make some of my hardware mess about a bit...

That is why i wanted to stick with the old SP1. but, i will get SP2

I've got SP1, it's 133Mb.

Not sure if I have enough room left to host it, but if you insist on SP1 only, I'll try.

But, like the others have said, you may as well go with SP2. And while you're at it, upgrade to Media Player 10.

SP2 is good. The only thing is when people install it and things start to not work (nero 6 for example), you need to install updates for them and everything is dandy!

yes definately go for SP2.
Most companies have now issued patches for their software to make it work with SP2
