upgrade windows 98 2ed to XP

Hi All,

I was trying to upgrade my PC (IBM Aptiva PII 400) from windows 98 2ed to
XP. It asked me if I wanted to change the format from FAT32 to NTFS. If I
change it to NTFS, will it erase all files? Can I change it and keep all
the files?

Your files will remain intact if you choose the NTFS format.

Your data will be erased. Keep FAT32 initially. You can always convert
latter without loosing data.
