Thanks for the reply. The reason for the information request is because I am
working for a large Brewery that runs the Micros ver3 software. The company
are intending going to Ver4. this version requirers Win2k3 to run. Apparently
it will run on WinXP but it is unsupported.
Currently the estate runs win2k. Some sites have 2 win2k workstations and the
few larger sites Run a win2k server and a win2k workstation. I am trying to
find out wheter there is an upgrade path or wheter the estate should be re-
hotstaged.
I hope this answers your questions and that you could provide the answers,
hopefuly the answer i would like to hear
thank you
phil.

Uh??? Windows 2003 is Server Operating System. Do you want to turn your
workstations into servers and do you want to pay for these server
licenses? Give us more information, what software is asking for an
upgrade and what exactly are you trying to do? From the information
supplied it appears that you are trying to install software destined for
Server onto workstations. There are few real reasons requiring Windows
2000 workstations to be upgraded to a newer operating system.

I have multiple remote pc's running win2k pro(workstation). they are due a
software upgrade which requires win2k3 os to be installed.
