Upgrade w/ errors

I got 3 DC's all 2000 server. My first DC (which is the original DC) has no
errors in dcdiag (A). The other 2 DC's have errors in frssysvol and
advertising (B + C).

I wanted to move to 2003 but A will not handle 2003 hardware-wise. Is it
possible to upgrade either B or C even though they have those errors? I have
no network problems even with these errors.

Is there any way to fix these diag errors? (like reseting the advertising
and sysvol)

thanks

Fixing this depends on the errors. Most such problems are DNS based but
occasionally (especially right now due to DST mistakes by admins) some are
due to TIME being out of sync.

Sometimes it is due to firewalls preventing the FRS copying the SysVol.

Probably but better would be to first correct the errors (above or below);
removing the correct DC could work but you might lose data or information.

If nothing else works you can do a "DCPromo 'cycle'" from DC to non-DC,
then back to DC and thus get a new copy of AD/SysVol.
