Just as the question says, will it check the serial? No need to convict
me for asking,if the prices weren't so ridiculous I would gladly pay for
a full version.I don't need "probably it will check" answers, i need an
answer that is for sure.

The upgrade version of Windows Vista will indeed check the
license of the qualifying Windows version to make sure it
is, in fact, a valid "genuine" Microsoft Windows license.

No. And you're free to go--no conviction. My country already has 1/39
behind bars to be #1 in the world. It's also one of the few country's whose
government tried this week to make a pre-emptory strike on free speech
illegally using a grand jury subpoena for documents. It's called prior
restraint--something little bozo Gonzales didn't learn in law school.

And it probably will do it in a fashion similar to how Windows Defender
validated an install.
