I am using English version of Windows Millenium which I
would like uppgrade to Windows XP Home edition, Swedish
version.

Anybody know if I have to do "clean" installation or,
witch I prefer, just upgrade and keep everything as it is?

thanks

Franz

One cannot upgrade a particular language version of Windows XP
to another language version. In your case, you'll need a "Full Swedish
Version" of Windows XP and proceed with a "clean install".

I went from a Russian Win 98 SE on one of my machines to English XP
Professional, didn't have any problems with that so I guess it should
survive the language change.

However I'd still strongly recommend doing a clean install of your system.

You should be able to do either... if installing to a freshly
formatted drive, you just need to have your old CD handy so the
update process may SEE the CD when asked (at least, this has
been the case every time I have used an update version)
witch I prefer, just upgrade and keep everything as it is?

Good luck... some people do that and everything works, other
people wind up having to format and install fresh after some
part of the upgrade does not work properly

Greetings --

You cannot upgrade or convert from one language version of the OS
to another, so you'll have to purchase and use the full version of
English WinXP to perform a clean installation.

Franzs, I have seen posted here & there once in a while, that some
people have problems with, or eventually have problems with their
computer if they did an upgrade, rather than a clean install.
