Upgrade to XP Pro, sp1 blew up my usb

I've upgraded from home to pro, put on sp1 and the sp1
patch for usb issues, but my usb drives still won't
work. When i scan for updates on windows updates there
are no driver updates to be installed. any suggestions?

I have exactly the same problem. In my case, my usb
devices worked before the upgrade and now they don't. If
anyone has any ideas on what could be wrong, please chime
in.

You can chalk this one up to good ol' fashioned Microsoft obsolescence
You do have to update the driver, but you won't find the one you nee
on their website. This should do the trick: go to your device manage
and click on "Universal Serial Bus Controllers". On each item liste
there, right click and select "Update Driver". One of them (don'
remember which) requires an updated driver, which the wizard tha
follows will install
