I received an email that stated as of January 16, 2004 - Windows Updates
will no longer
be provided for people using Windows 98 or ME -- I am running Windows 98SE
and
have always done my updates.

Has anyone had any problems using the Upgrade for XP with Windows 98SE?? I
am
trying to decide which way to go - my computer has Intel Pen III and 256
RAM - my
original hard drive was 8.5 and have a little under 4 now. I have been
reading all the
information from
http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_sg_clean.asp -
I think I understand on what to do as far as saving some of my files and
doing a backup
somewhere in case I want to uninstall the Upgrade XP for some reason. I
have done also
the scan on my computer for an Update Advisor which shows what will not be
compatible.

I do understand that a clean install is the way you have to go -- has anyone
else heard about
these Windows Updates not being available for Windows 98 and ME???
