Upgrade to XP - cannot find CDROM drivers

Ever since I upgraded to XP, I have been busy changing
programs to "compatibility with XP", or reinstalling
them. The final problem I am having is with my CDROMs.
When I go to Explorer, and click on either "D" or "E",
explorer crashes. I cannot get to the window
for "properties", etc. I am told I need to install
updated drivers, but don't know how.

I'm not expert but we had the same problem it not a

driver issue it a software issue you do not have
compatable software find out what brand of cd rom you
have and install compatable software then update drivers
it worked for us
