What is the procedure to upgrade to Vista Ultimate?

I have a Compaq Laptop with Vista Home Premium. I want to upgrade to
Vista Ultimate. I have the Vista Ultimate already. What i sthe
procedure to upgrade?

Do I just enter the new key?

If I don't lile ultimate, can I downrade to Home Premium?

thanks

David,

Did you purchase a retail version of Ultimate, or did you use the Windows
Anytime Upgrade? Using Anytime Upgrade should have upgraded everything for
you automatically (and it would have saved you some money instead of having
to go out and buy a upgrade copy of Ultimate).

Assuming you have an upgrade or retail version of Ultimate, just put
it in the drive and follow the prompts. If you have an OEM version,
you're out of luck. That won't upgrade an existing installation.

I am upgrading an OEM verision of Home Premium to the Ultimate version
that Microsoft passed out during the Hero's sessions.

It should upgrade just as I said before. MS hands out it's own 'complete'
disks, capable of upgrading or clean installing. With those, upgrading an
OEM is completely workable, and will retain all settings and apps.
Backing up beforehand is always a good idea, no matter what.
