Upgrade to SP2 not an option

I need to remove MediaPlayer10 to roll back to ver9 - but it is stuck, I
cannot get it out and I can't get it in. I cannot upgrade to SP2 because my
Epson business printers are having MAJOR issues with SP2.

I have 1240u Scanner, CX3200 Multi-function and 2200Large format (all Epson
USB). We installed the SP2 on one WinXPpro+SP1 machine - and got immediate
communication failures. We THEN installed an Epson patch which supposedly was
for this problem (an MS patch that Epson points to - for a DVD communication
problem) and we got better BUT intermittent communication failures. All of
the HP printers (1000C, 1200C and R45office) have no problem with SP2. We are
a very small company and don't have alot of time to labor on these
difficulties so we always wait a year or more on a patch because we cannot
suffer incompatibilities and loss of production. We need the profitable
printers far more than we need Windows Media 10 - we wish to return to
Windows Media 9 - we have many other third party audio management
players/editors that we can use.

Go into the Device Manager and uninstall the USB ports... reboot and let XP
reinstall the correct drivers. Ensure you have the latest drivers for all
Epson units.
