Upgrade to Office Ultimate from Beta 2

A quick question, if I might:

I installed Beta 2 (love it!). I'll be there the moment the stores open to
buy the real thing! I will install Vista Ultimate first, and I'll install new
vs upgrade. I know that will remove Beta 2 from my hard drive. That's fine.
My .pst file and all files are stored on a different drive. Will I have to
re-install Office 2003, or when I'm installing Office Ultimate will it offer
me a chance just to insert the CD into the drive so it can see that I'm valid?

When I upgrade my Adobe products, that's how they work: If the older app is
on the hard drive, it installs instantly; if the older app is gone
(reinstalling), it just prompts me for the older CD.

I hope Utimate will do that, just prompt me to insert the 2003 CD. I can
install 2003 again if necessary, but ugh....

Does anyone know which scenario will occur?

Thanks for your time!

Keith

Ask in an Office newsgroup to find the Office gurus. I don't know if anyone
has had access to Office 2007 upgrade editions yet. If Vista itself is any
example, you would have to have 2003 installed to upgrade it, but Office is
different in many ways. MS is clearly moving away from verification by
inspection of shiny media and towards verification of a running and
activated legacy product as the basis for upgrading their flagship products.
