I currently have Office XP Standard for Students and
Teachers. I need to add Access for a computer class I am
taking. I bought the Access 2003 upgrade, which says I
can upgrade from Office XP Standard. When I run the
installation wizard, it says it cannot find a previous
version of office on my C drive, where office is located,
nor will it recognize my actual office XP cd rom version
that I used to install Office XP in the first place.
What do I do? I must have this installed soon because
the work in access is due by Easter. Please help me!
Thanks, Brittany

I found this info on the Microsoft website regarding upgrade eligibility:

Upgrade Eligibility
Determine whether your current version of Microsoft Access qualifies you for
the $109 US upgrade price. The following products qualify:

. Microsoft Access
Access version 2002, Access 2000, Access 97

. Microsoft Office XP
Office XP Developer, Office XP Professional Special Edition, Office XP
Professional, Office XP Small Business Edition, Office XP Standard

I suspect that Office XP Standard for Teachers and Students does not
qualify - the T&S edition is a special version at a highly reduced price. I
suspect you'll have to pay the full $229 new user price to get a version
that will install on your machine.

I suggest you contact Microsoft Customer Service to find out what you need
to do. You can find the contact info at:
