Hi !

We have installed office 2000 without outlook on our terminal server/Citrix
Metframe.
Now we need to have outlook 2002 on our server.

Is it posible to install only outlook 2002 on a office 2000 server?
Or do we need to upgrade the hole office 2000 to xp "2002'" ?

Regards Jan

Thanks Jim for the answer.

I already have the office 2000 and office xp.
But i need to now if i can install a outlook 2002 on a office 2000?

Jan,
You don't have to purchase the whole Office Suite. You can purchase just
Outlook 2002 as a separate product. It retails for around $100. Go do a
search on amazon.com for Outlook 2002. Good Luck.

Sorry Jan, I misinterpreted what you were saying. I do not know for sure if can install the outlook 2002 on a office 2000 install, but I would think as long as your office xp(2002) edition is a full version and not an upgrade I think you would be ok. I recommend that you run the add/remove wizard for your office 2000 install and remove the outlook 2000 components first. Make sure you back up any email folders and such if you have any stored locally before you remove the outlook 2000 components. Then perform a custom office 2002 install and only select the outlook 2002 components to be installed, and maybe even change the default install directory of "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\" to another location like "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 2002\" to ensure that you don't overwrite any 2000 components. Good Luck
