upgrade problems

I have an older machine running Windows 2000. I installed
a new system board and processor. I now get Inaccessable
boot device. The hard drive boots fine with the original
system board and processor. Any suggestion other than
reformating and reinstalling everything.

Yeah - re-run Win2k setup from the MS disk, but instead
of installing a fresh copy of the OS, select the repair
option.

Normally, unless the new motherboard is virtually identical to the
old one (same chipset, IDE controllers, etc), you'll most likely need
to perform a repair (a.k.a. in-place upgrade) installation, at the
very least (and don't forget to reinstall any service packs and
subsequent hot fixes):
