Does anyone know if there's a way to upgrade a server that is running Windows
2000 Standard Edition server to Windows 2000 Advanced server?
We have a situation here where we swapped out to newer hardware that has
more than 4Gb of memory and we want to take advantage of it. We have
multiple applications running on the OS so we wanted to preserve what we have
and not be forced to reinstall everything from scratch. We've imaged the OS
from the old to th new hardware with no problems. Since Windows 2000 server
only addresses 4Gb we need to upgrade to Windows 2000 Adv. server. Tried
just inserting the W2K Adv. server CD and selecting the upgrade option but
receive the error "W2K setup does not support upgrading from W2K server SP4
to W2K Adv. SP4". Is there a way to do this.
Thanks in advance.
