I'm trying to upgrade NT4 file server to 2000 and getting message that there is a software which won't work with W2K, software name is "cheyenne" ... this is some type of alert software from CA for Arcserv backup which we do not use any more, unfortunatelly I cannot uninstall it since 1. cheyenne is not listed in add/remove programs 2. I found uninstall executable for this program in c:\program files\.... where ever this software was installed in past, but when tried it errors out. I'm looking for workaround (cleaning registry or somthing like that) so cheyenne won't be recognized as valid application during upgrade. I'm trying to avoid situation where I'll have to copy 100GB of data somewhere else and reinstall OS from scrach.
Does anyone know a way to remove all references to this application so it is not recognized during upgrade to w2k

Thanks

That's not what I was asking for Loyd "pc guru" ... they are, but not someone like yourself mr. knoweverything

Loyd, by the way if they will look for someone to replace me, I let you know… requirements are: MCSE, MCDBA, at least OCA, and at least CCA… more then 7 years of exp… interested?
