is it possible to upgrade from XP 64 to Vista 32 i have the upgrade version
of windows vista?

what i meant to ask was this:

i have Windows Xp 64 and i want to go to 32 Vista, but i don't want there to
be any thing of the 64bit os left, i have the stuff i want on dvd's.

i have the "signature license upgrade to ultimate vista (32) "

i also have Win 2k but i don't think that it supports my 500gb Raid 0 HDD
if needed i also have 2 160 gb hdd's that i can use.

There are no questions in your reply. You'll have to do a fresh install with
your upgrade CD, a Google search will provide a multitude of links for the
procedure, no previous OS required.

can i use the xp 64 as the os i "upgrade" from...

* upgrade like you must have the os installed before you can "upgrade"

or use the vista "upgrade" cd

You do not need to provide any proof of a previous OS to install your
upgrade, as I said, search these forums or Google, you'll find many links
describing the procedure.

There is a problem with installing Vista x86 on a volume that already has an
x64 OS on it. If you have a W2k or XP SP2 cd do a clean install of the
older OS and then a custom install of Vista x86. Vista x86 does not remove
the x64 program folders properly.

vista should of come with an 64-bit disc anyway

Robert:
XP x64 is a qualified operating system to use the upgrade version.
Since you have all the data that you need from x64, perform a custom
installation then delete the Windows.old folder after you've finished. Have
a great day.
