Good Day all,
I recently upgraded from XP pro to Vista ultimate, and I can no longer
connect to the internet via wireless. I have a Linksys WMP300N adapter (with
most recent vista compatible drivers installed) and a Linksys WRT350N router,
also with the most recent firmware installed (on an XP PC). I know the
network is ok with vista, because my laptop on vista home basic connects fine.
On my vista PC, I can connect to the network locally, but not to the
internet. Everytime I connect to my "home" network, it connects to "home" and
"unidentified network" at the same time, but if I disconnect either, they
both go, and under active connections, there is only "home".
When I attempt to diagnose the problem, it says that there are more than one
active network connections running. I have disabled every other adaptor (LAN,
Bluetooth etc.) but the wireless, and it still connects to the "ghost"
unidentified network.
I am hoping that since I was able to connect easily when on XP, and also
since other Vista computers can connect, this will be an easy answer for
someone?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
